As part of the efforts to fight the dengue outbreak, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) authorities have opened a special hotline number (09611000999) to provide free primary health care services to the residents of the Dhaka south city.

DSCC is collaborating with Olwel in this great initiative to provide proper treatment to the residents.  Callers in this hotline number will be directed to Olwel helpdesk, from where they will be able to avail free telemedicine services and place requests for home doctor visits. Olwel have prepared a special team of trained physicians who have already started visiting patient’s homes from last Wednesday, 24th July.  

This year, hospitals have seen a record number of dengue patients, unmatched in the past 18 years. A total of 10,528 people have been infected with the mosquito-borne disease till July 27. Last year, the total number was 10,148, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
