Olwel Krishok Digital Hospital
Olwel is providing healthcare for 30,000 farmers with the help of ICT-based service innovation partnering with a leading global seed and crop protection company.
In the absence of qualified doctors, our farmers often ignore the early symptoms, consult the quacks and even fall victim to the middlemen when they opt for proper treatment. Olwel, with a goal to provide the right healthcare services at the right time and place with the help of ICT-based service innovation has started Phase-II of Krishok Digital Hospital (KDH) targeting 30,000 farmers under service coverage in collaboration with a leading global seed and crop protection company.
When a farmer fall sick and call Olwel, first s/he goes under emergency triaging by a female MBBS doctor. Emergency patients are referred to the nearest right hospital. Otherwise, the call center doctor take the initial and long-term conditions, register the patient, and set appointment with a doctor from Olwel doctor pool. All of the doctors for this KDH are BMDC registered and have at least 5 years experience as GP doctor. KDH doctors provide treatment over digital media and call center doctors remain standby to ensure proper healing through pro-active followup calls. The patients are referred and directed to the right specialist doctor (and/or hospital) when there is a requirement for that.
Olwel KDH ensure right healthcare decision by embedding an MBBS doctor in the family of a farmer along with delivering primary healthcare service using technology.
