Two bright stars in the health sector of Bangladesh, Olwel and Thyrocare have signed a Memorandum of Understanding last Tuesday, 3rd of July, 2018. The two companies will co-operate with each other to provide a seamless healthcare service at patients doorstep.
Olwel is a Finland based startup that has started a revolutionary service in Bangladesh. It has a pool of experienced General Practitioner doctors at multiple sites in Dhaka. Whenever someone needs a doctor, they can call Olwel and get a doctor at their home in 30 minutes.
Thyrocare, based in Mumbai, India, is one of the largest preventative diagnostic laboratories in South Asia and established the first fully automated diagnostic laboratory in India. Other than the home country, they have laboratories in the UAE, Nepal and Bangladesh. Their state of the art laboratory in Bangladesh is one of the only two in the country that is recognized by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Thyrocare has a well trained pool of phlebotomists who collect samples from patients home and deliver reports.
With the agreement, the two companies have teamed up to provide the much needed services, increasing convenience and ensuring better outcome and well being for patients.
The MoU was signed by the COO of Thyrocare BD Ronald Micky Gomes and the COO of Olwel BD M. W. A. Farhad. The Head of Sales of Thyrocare BD Masud Ahmed, CTO of Olwel Mojahedul Hoque Abul Hasanat and Chairman of Olwel MM Aftab Hossain were present in the auspicious occasion.
